Bezzera Strega R

Spring-lever machine without an electric pump; mains pressure fills the group and springs create extraction pressure.

Strega R uses a large spring lever and piston instead of pump pressure during the main extraction. On S and TOP, a vibration pump first fills the group and provides pre-infusion; on R, the water mains performs this task. The pump or inlet then stops and two springs create the characteristic declining pressure profile. The group is electrically heated, and the 2-litre heat exchanger supplies steam and hot water at the same time. The R version requires a direct water connection with at least 2 bar and uses a direct drain.
