COOKIES – SIMPLE AND FUNCTIONAL

Our website uses a few small technical tools to keep everything working properly. We like to keep it simple: no advertising cookies, no external analytics software and no tracking across other websites.

1. What is a cookie?

Cookies are small text files that a website can store on your computer, telephone or tablet. They may be required for a website to operate properly and securely or to remember preferences.

2. Which cookies and browser storage do we use?

The website uses functional storage for preferences and a separate cookie for the restricted owner login.

adesso_preferences Purpose: to remember your language, machine filters and sorting preference. Type: functional, first-party. Retention: one year from the most recent save of your preferences, unless you delete the cookie earlier. Contents: display preferences only; no account, payment or advertising identifier.

adesso_admin Purpose: to secure the restricted owner login and keep the administrator signed in. It is created only when the administration interface is opened. Type: functional, first-party; HttpOnly, SameSite=Strict and Secure over HTTPS. Retention: a login form lasts 10 minutes; a signed-in session lasts 30 minutes without activity, with an absolute limit of 8 hours. Logout or a password change ends the session. Contents: a random session token, never the password.

adesso_favourites Purpose: to remember the machines you save as favourites in this browser. Type: functional, first-party local storage (localStorage), not a cookie. Retention: one year from the most recent change to your list. The expiry is checked when you visit, and an expired list is removed. Contents: saved machine IDs and an expiry date; no account, payment or advertising identifier. Your list is not synchronised with an account or other browsers. If your browser blocks storage, the list is kept only for the current visit and a message tells you that the change could not be saved.

Customer login, shopping-cart and online-checkout cookies are not currently used. The owner login uses the separate cookie described above. We will update this list before adding customer functions.

3. Functional storage only

The cookies and browser storage listed above support your chosen preferences, favourites and the restricted owner login. We do not place cookies for statistics, advertising or tracking across websites. Statistics cookies from an earlier version are removed when you return.

4. The right website version for your device

We use technical browser and device information to select the desktop or phone version and the appropriate language. Our own server keeps the basic operational page log described in our Privacy Policy, without visitor identification cookies, location lookups or duration measurements. We do not use browser fingerprinting or external analytics.

5. Payment and external services

Online checkout is not yet available on the PC website. Before enabling it, we will state which payment provider is used and which security and payment cookies apply.

We do not load external videos, social-media components or other content that places tracking cookies without your consent. If this changes, we will update both this policy and the website beforehand.

6. Managing cookies and browser storage yourself

You can delete or block cookies using your browser settings. If you delete or block adesso_preferences, your language, machine filters and sorting preference will no longer be remembered between visits.

You can remove individual favourites on the website. To clear the saved list from your browser, delete this website’s site data, including local storage, in your browser settings. Deleting cookies alone does not necessarily remove the saved favourites.

7. Questions or changes

We may update this policy when the website or the law changes. The current version will always be available on our website.
